Am I going to heaven?

This past Sunday, we talked and taught the value of confession in faith journeys. We were encouraged to write a sin on an index card and bring it forward to the altar as a sign of our decision to follow God's commands and honor Christ's death and resurrection. As pastor and spiritual leader, I sorted through the responses and saw the usual stuff (anger, judging, pride, etc). and then I was stopped in my tracks. Two folks in my congregation were brave enough to admit their doubts of personal salvation and another questioned the divinity of Christ. These are real struggles from real daughters/sons of God. I have no way of knowing who shared these doubts but will be in deep prayer for each of them. I encourage those reading this blog to inspect your own faith and assurance of Christ's redemptive work on the cross. It is real.
