Signs of living water.

Went for a hike up Mutterbaugh Gap Trail yesterday. It was a nice day, a little cool and way too many ticks, but none the less it was a good day. As we started the ascent of this trail we walked alongside a tiny stream. It then disappeared. We couldn't see the stream but we could hear it. There was a section of the stream probably about 400 hundred yards long that was underground (under rocks). The loud roar of the water was strange in that it was there we just couldn't see it. The further we went up the trail, the louder the rushing water sounded. It was sort of eerie and cool at the same time. On the way back down the mountain I noticed this.

On both sides of the stream, there was no growth, only leaf litter and stones. Over top the stream there was definitely signs of life (moss). This green ribbon wound its way down through the woods for a couple hundred yards or more.

Expressing God's grace and love to others is often thought of as a challenge by some. In reality, when one chooses to seek God's will and be obedient toward God, an internal well of life springs up within that person. Most days it's not easily measured, but you know the love of God is in them.

How about us? If someone walking near us stopped and observed our life, could they clearly see that green ribbon of life? Could they hear the cool rushing water of life even though they couldn't visibly see it? Would we be a refreshing to those who come near us? I hope so.

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in

Be planted by the stream of living water known as Jesus Christ and then allow the life he gives us to become a source of life to those around us. See if things don't begin to grow and flourish.
