Well, the snowstrom has arrived, the staples have been purchased, and our time is now mostly our own. We can bake, read, knit, and a host of other projects. Staying indoors during blizzards is usual protocol.
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place,
but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal
position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14, NIV)
Consider using your time to check on your neighbors. If you are able, grab a snow shovel and go for a walk through your neighborhood. See if you can help others dig their way our from under the blanket of snow. If your health does not allow heavy lifting and outdoor activity, pick up the phone and call your friends next door and across the street. Tell them of your intention to see that all is well.
"Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31, NIV)
Make a difference today. Let somebody near you know that you care. It is a good way to change a weird world.
