     Whether you're a member of First United Methodist Church or a cyber-guest, take a minute to look around the site.      First United Methodist Church has been serving the community for 200 years.       The church has been an important part of the social and spiritual development of Lewistown and the surrounding area.      We offer a Christ centered ministry through word and deed.      Everyone is always welcome!

​                     SERVICES

 

     Worship service is held in the sanctuary.  Enter the red door on the corner of Dorcas and 3rd Street or the double glass doors on Third Street.

     Sunday Worship Service is at

9:30 AM.

​​     Additional services will be announced on our sanctuary notice board and on this web site.

Bells will ring nationwide at 2:00pm on July 4. By mandate of Congress, “The Star-Spangled Banner” will be performed at the Robert A. Taft Memorial and Carillon in Washington, D.C., followed by “America,” “America the Beautiful,” and a selection of patriotic melodies selected by the day’s carillonist.

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed July 4 to be “National Bell Ringing Day” through U.S. Congressional Resolution Number 25, which denoted 2:00pm for nationwide bell ringing.

Our building is handicap accessible

and elevator equipped - enter from 3rd Street. 
There is a ramp leading up to the double glass entry doors.
 
For the hearing impaired, there are devices available
at the sound station in the back of the sanctuary.
